This mounding foliage perennial produces large textured glossy leaves that are quite handsome and create a lovely foil for extravagant and exotic blooms. Though the foliage of this plant is spectacular, its flowers are rather inconsequential; white tubular blooms with rusty speckled throats appear in late summer. Spreads by underground rhizomes and can be treated as a tall ground cover in moist and shaded areas.
